TIRE PRESSURE CAN CHANGE WITH THE COLDER WEATHER

For every 10 degree Fahrenheit drop in temperature, tire pressure can drop 1-2 pounds*. According to the Rubber manufacturers Association (RMA), a trade organization that represents tire manufacturers, under inflated tires can....pose a safety risk....waste fuel....and cause tires to wear out prematurely.
In fact, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) statistics show that every year under inflated tires result in 660 fatalities and 33,000 injuries.
NHSTA also states that properly inflated tires can improve fuel economy by 3.3 percent or about 12 cents per gallon--and help tires last longer.
As part of our service we will check your tire pressure while your Subaru is in for service. But also keep in mind that you should check tire pressure at least once a month.
This has been a service tip from our dealership and is one way we wish to serve you better. *Newer Subaru cars have a tire pressure monitor that turns on a light on your dashboard when tire pressure has become too low.
If you are one of our Becker Subaru customers, please stop in and have your tire pressure checked, during normal Service Business hours only. servicedepartment@beckersubaru.com
